On November 18th , Top Fly was given authorisation to train pilots from Vietnam.
The Vietnamese approval will join the authorisation obtained from the Chinese Civil Aviation Authority in 2006. These two approvals make Top Fly the European professional aeroplane and helicopter pilot school with the biggest representation in Asia; having as its clients some of the biggest airlines in the world.
As far as Vietnam is concerned, Top Fly has been approved to train both aeroplane and helicopter ATPL (airline transport pilots) students. The first groups of Vietnamese students are expected to arrive at the Sabadell and Huesca bases sometime next year as a result of negotiations underway with various airlines from this country. Top Fly doesn’t rule out the possibility of creating a 3rd base at an, a yet, undetermined airport.
As on previous occasions, Top Fly has put their trust in their Asian representative: A-Tech Consulting, who directed the negotiations with the Vietnamese authorities.
At the time of writing there are only two centres approved by Vietnam to train their flight crews, one being Top Fly. In the case of helicopters, Top Fly is the first FTO in the world to be approved by the Vietnamese Government.
